Thrilled!

So I was a good boy this year, and I received a couple of great art books... Those helped with the creation of this picture. Another Photoshop/Painter done in about 5+ hours again.

It's snowing!

Brooklyn is so pretty when it snows, however I decided to be productive today. This Illustration was done mostly in Painter, but I did use some Photoshop tweaks. I'm really happy how it turned out for just being a long experiment. I played with light and shadows mostly in this piece.

Head Turn arounds for Marc

These were just laying in my folder, decided it needed some lovein'.

Living in NYC

So sorry for the huge post, but i've been quite the slacker when it comes to this blogging thing. I've finished my 4th sketch book earlier this month, and i'm trying to get one last one in before the end of the year. I've found a couple of drawing spots that I seem to gravitate to, these being of course the "F" train (mostly around the Brooklyn area), Whole Foods on Bowery Street, B&N on 7 avenue, and 11th street bar. As a note I don't ask these people if I could draw them, they move around and get up whenever they want. However, I do enjoy a little challenege.

Oh and no I haven't seen Dionysus.

Early Morning

Did this evening, messed around with texture and color. I really didn't have any direction on this piece. I am just continuing to experiment with drawing styles and rendering.

Portraits Portraits and more Portraits!

So again, I'm trying to get away from my line quality and go straight to rendering. Much harder than I expected but practice makes slightly perfect.

Doodles and other side projects.

The Smoker is just a doodle I did, I really liked how he turned out. Now the bag thing is a weird side project of making a satchel that has magnets in it to hold tools, then a northern inspired house at the bottom.

Thanks

Side Project

Here is my Deep Winter engineer concept. The whole idea was based on Tesla's ground energy theory. More to come shortly.

Some Sketches

These are some of my sketches for the book "Fluke: Or, I know why the Winged Whales Sings" by Christopher Moore. Great book, and I had lots of fun drawing these very... odd characters.
