So I was a good boy this year, and I received a couple of great art books... Those helped with the creation of this picture. Another Photoshop/Painter done in about 5+ hours again.
Brooklyn is so pretty when it snows, however I decided to be productive today. This Illustration was done mostly in Painter, but I did use some Photoshop tweaks. I'm really happy how it turned out for just being a long experiment. I played with light and shadows mostly in this piece.
So sorry for the huge post, but i've been quite the slacker when it comes to this blogging thing. I've finished my 4th sketch book earlier this month, and i'm trying to get one last one in before the end of the year. I've found a couple of drawing spots that I seem to gravitate to, these being of course the "F" train (mostly around the Brooklyn area), Whole Foods on Bowery Street, B&N on 7 avenue, and 11th street bar. As a note I don't ask these people if I could draw them, they move around and get up whenever they want. However, I do enjoy a little challenege.
Did this evening, messed around with texture and color. I really didn't have any direction on this piece. I am just continuing to experiment with drawing styles and rendering.
This was done in Painter/photoshop-4hrs. This is my fall piece. Still experimenting with Painter and it's neat features. Anyways enjoyed doing this picture, and I hope to be posting more.
The Smoker is just a doodle I did, I really liked how he turned out. Now the bag thing is a weird side project of making a satchel that has magnets in it to hold tools, then a northern inspired house at the bottom.
These are some of my sketches for the book "Fluke: Or, I know why the Winged Whales Sings" by Christopher Moore. Great book, and I had lots of fun drawing these very... odd characters.
These are multiple works of mine, with an self portrait at the bottom. All my works have been done digitally. My process is a combination of Photoshop and Painter. I'm currently living in Brooklyn, NY.
